Step by Step Guide to Get CETARA-NF Certification

Embarking on the journey of natural farming is a commendable step towards sustainable agriculture. To validate and showcase your commitment, obtaining the Certified Evaluation Tool for Agricultural Resource Analysis-Natural Farming (CETARA-NF) certification is invaluable. This self-assessment certification, introduced by the Himachal Pradesh government under the ‘Prakritik Kheti Khushhal Kisan Yojana’ (PK3Y), empowers farmers to evaluate and certify their natural farming practices.

Understanding CETARA-NF Certification

CETARA-NF is a self-assessment tool designed to help farmers evaluate their adherence to natural farming practices. It offers a star-based rating system:

  • One Star: Initial adoption of natural farming methods with minimal chemical input.
  • Two Star: Transition phase with reduced chemical usage and increased natural techniques.
  • Three Star: Full implementation of natural farming practices without chemical fertilizers or pesticides.

Steps to Obtain CETARA-NF Certification

  1. Registration: Visit the official PK3Y website and navigate to the ‘पंजीकरण’ (Registration) section. Fill in the required details, including your name, contact information, and farming location.
  2. OTP Verification: After submitting your details, you’ll receive a One-Time Password (OTP) on your registered mobile number. Enter this OTP on the website to verify your registration.
  3. Personal Details: Provide additional personal information such as category, district, block, panchayat, village, email ID, gender, and Aadhaar number to complete your profile.
  4. Land and Crop Details: Input specifics about your land holdings and the crops you cultivate, including Kharif and Rabi crops, mixed cropping patterns, and any fruit crops.
  5. Questionnaire: Complete a questionnaire detailing your use of SPNF (Subhash Palekar Natural Farming) inputs and practices. This self-assessment evaluates your adherence to natural farming standards.
  6. Submission and Review: After filling out all necessary information, submit your application. The system will review your inputs and assign a star rating based on your compliance with natural farming practices.

Benefits of CETARA-NF Certification

  • Market Recognition: Certification enhances the credibility of your product, potentially leading to better market opportunities.
  • Consumer Trust: Certified products attract consumers seeking verified natural farming produce, expanding your customer base.
  • Sustainable Practices: The certification process encourages the adoption of eco-friendly farming methods, contributing to environmental sustainability.

By following these steps, you not only validate your commitment to natural farming but also contribute to a larger movement towards sustainable agriculture. Embrace the CETARA-NF certification to showcase your dedication and reap the benefits of recognized natural farming practices.
